Why we built this
GEO Auditor started from a simple observation: AI-powered search engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude — were sending real traffic, but the standard set of SEO tools had no way to measure or improve that visibility. Ahrefs has no GEO score. SEMrush won't tell you if GPTBot is blocked by your robots.txt.
We built GEO Auditor to fill that gap. The tool checks 40+ signals that AI search engines actually use when deciding who to crawl, who to recognize as a known entity, and whose content to quote in generated answers. It then produces a prioritized fix plan — organized by effort and impact — so site owners know exactly what to fix first.
The single most surprising finding from our audits: the majority of websites that care about AI search are blocking at least one major AI crawler in their robots.txt without realizing it. That alone can suppress citation frequency by 80–100% on blocked platforms.
